Texting And Driving Still Kills, Watch This VideoPosted on: February 12, 2016 at 1:25 am
Texting while driving is likely the gravest of offenses you can pull while behind the wheel, but did you know eating & drinking, using a navigation system, or even adjusting the radio counts as distracted as well?
As the clip above dramatically conveys, drivers in their 20s make up 27 percent of the distracted drivers in fatal crashes, according to the NHTSA. At any given daylight moment across America, approximately 660,000 drivers are using cell phones, texting, or manipulating electronic devices while driving.
We’re all sick of getting reminded not to text and drive, but do it anyway, so watch the clip below over and over for a bit. Then put it down today, and the day after that, and then after that, too.
The State of Florida has many distracted driving laws on the books, and they change constantly. You can see a full list of the Sunshine State’s driving laws (aggressive, drunk, distracted, etc.) by heading to the Governors Highway Safety Association website.
