SHOCKING VIDEO: Winter Coats and Car Seats Don’t Mix

Take the winter coat off your kid before putting them in the car seat.

We know that Floridians like piling on the jackets when it gets chilly out, but make sure to take the coats off your little ones before buckling them into the car seat.

The coats create an illusion that the belts are on tight, and the crash test results are not easy to watch (see below).

The advice goes for adults, too. The “Today Show” points out that even full grown adults shouldn’t wear puffy jackets under their belts.

So when it gets to 60-degrees around these parts, just crank the heat up and stay safe.
